Mr. Knapp is a Partner of Nathanson and Company with over 23 years of hands-on experience in IT Infrastructure, Application Development and Maintenance and Customer Service improving operations and driving significant cost reductions through outsourcing, business process improvement and transformation. 

 

Mr. Knapp is an expert on the entire outsourcing lifecycle including strategy development, supplier sourcing, contract negotiations, transition and governance.  He has proven ability to rapidly identify operational deficiencies and develop inventive solutions for enhancing competitiveness, improving service and reducing costs. He has demonstrated success leading diverse teams in the delivery of complex business improvement and transformation initiatives.  His work experience includes projects that have spanned the Americas, Asia and Europe.

 

Mr. Knapp has led negotiations on over $3,000,000,000 of outsourcing deals representing Lenovo, NetApp, Las Vegas Sands, ASCAP, Nortel, Sprint, StorageTek (now Oracle), Hitachi, Toshiba and AIG.  He has led numerous engagements renegotiating contracts and led the due diligence, strategy and negotiations on major segments of multibillion-dollar acquisitions.  He has led negotiations with Accenture, Cognizant, CSC, HCL, HP, IBM, TCS, Wipro, Unisys and others.

 

Mr. Knapp has extensive background in M&A focusing on due diligence, negotiation of transition agreements, and post-merger integration.  Representative projects include Sprints purchase of Nextel, Lenovo’s purchase of IBM’s Server business, Toshibas purchase of IBM’s Point of Sale business and Hitachi’s purchase of IBM’s storage business.

 

Mr. Knapp has been a leader of IT and customer service transformation projects focusing on service design, customer service, vendor management and service operations optimization.  Representative clients include Qwest, StorageTek, NetApp, Sprint, Sands, Nortel and Lenovo.

 

Prior to joining Nathanson, Mr. Knapp led design, development and negotiations of large outsourcing agreements for Entex Information Services (sold to Siemens Business Solutions). He also held various positions at Ernst & Young. Mr. Knapp holds a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science and Mathematics from Hamilton College.   He is ITIL V3 Foundation certified.   Mr. Knapp lives in Boulder, Colorado.
